4 August 2015 - The members of the Security Council strongly condemned the killing of General Adolphe Nshimirimana on 2 August and the violent attack on Pierre Claver Mbonimpa on 3 August. They noted that there is no place for violence and called on all actors to remain calm.
Closing of MENUB
The UN Electoral Observation Mission in Burundi (MENUB) concluded its mandate on 18 November and its operations will draw to a close on 31 December 2015.
