Haiti: Forum on Private Sector Engagement in Community Violence Reduction

The forum on private sector engagement in community violence reduction was held on 6 November 2025 in Port‑au‑Prince, with the support of the SNDDR-RVC Task Force, the Ministry of Communication and Information, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Haiti. The event brought together representatives from the private sector, national authorities, and civil society to discuss concrete strategies to reduce community violence.

During the forum, participants shared their experiences and best practices, highlighting the private sector’s commitment to actively contribute to securing communities and strengthening social cohesion.

Through the SNDDR-RVC Task Force, BINUH works closely with national authorities and the private sector to translate these commitments into concrete actions, reinforce peace, security, and social cohesion, and sustainably support initiatives aimed at reducing community violence in Haiti.

The event emphasized the importance of public-private cooperation and the collective engagement of all stakeholders in promoting a safer and more stable environment for Haitian communities.
